Water Street Pictures (Presenting company) Harvey Kahn, the managing partner, Chip Duncan, an award-winning documentary filmmaker, and Robed Landaas, a Milwaukee-based investment banker formed water Street Pictures in 1994. Landaas and Duncan have been working together for nine years. Their successes with travel and adventure video productions were gratifying, but they shared the desire to move into independent feature film. Kahn had a solid career producing movies for television, but felt that the best way to broaden the types of films he could make was to find partners who shared his goals.Kahn, Duncan and Landaas realized they made a great team with complementary skills. They shared a vision of an independent company that makes quality films with emerging talent, and funds raised outside Hollywood, The strategy was to produce and co-finance low budget films and retain an ownership stake them. This would maximize the ability to protect the investors, guarantee a significant creative role and provide a supportive and open environment for bellow filmmakers. In addition to EDEN the company produced CADILLAC RANCH in association with Davis Entertainment Classics and J. Todd Harris, The drama, about three sisters searching for their father, stars Christopher Lloyd and Suzy Amis. Corporate sponsorships for EDEN include Reno Air, Panavision, Todd-AO Studios.
