A vivid and extraordinarily rich narrative strongly underscored by the clash of the times, Eden opens at a boys' prep school in the mid-'60s. Helen (Joanna Going), the wife of one of the teachers, suffers from multiple sclerosis and the uneasy feeling she should have more control over her destiny. Her husband, Bill (Dylan Walsh), is more concerned with a student they have boarding at their house who is deeply in love with Helen. Shot in Seattle, EDEN is a lushly photographed dramatic delicacy not typical of Hollywood fare.
